I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas celebration. The high point of mine aside from watching Callie, my 14 month old and Presley my 3 year old being caught up in the magic of it all was seeing my brother Jerry the week after Christmas. Jerry is a coach for Belen Jesuit School in Miami and his team played in the annual Christmas basketball tournament at St. Pius X High School in DeKalb County. I took Donna and the girls out to see a game that Belen lost to a team out of Southern California that probably could have beaten the Lakers! Jerry is like me and hates to loose but like me has a sense of sportsmanship. I took him to Gwinnett County to eat barbecue since Miami is not really known for pork barbecue. We had a great time visiting and I took him to Buckhead to Atlanta's best place for recorded music Tower Records. The next day we had lunch at the OK Cafe with his wife's family that lives here and some relatives of his wife from Pensacola and his mother in law Betty who also lives in Miami. Betty is retired from Delta Airlines and is a ball of fire. She is responsible of looking out for my baby brother when he is in Miami. I have to tell you how much it means to me to have heard from a number of people who established contact with family members because of my finally meeting my brother in 2004. If you have a family member that you have lost contact with I encourage you to try to get in touch with them. You may just find the joy that I have found.
