Rhubarb,

I have been a fan of yours for many many years, even before 106.7.
My husband always said you were the best DJ on radio.
Well Rhubarb  my husband passed a way in 2002. It has been hard to live
with out him  after 25 years
I am raising two of our grandchildren. They are 11 & 12.
I have just stop living since my husband death until one day I turned on the radio and there you were!!
You brought a smile to my face.
I know listen to you every day, and Dallas.
Because of you I am comming back to the living.
You are a kind, passionate, generous person. You make every one feel
important
You brought me back to life for that you will always be in my prayers and always
in my thoughts.
The music you play takes me back to good memories, Thank you.
One of your biggest fans, Charlotte Johnston

Rhubarb,

If you keep it up I am going to start calling you the patron saint of law enforcement!!!
I sent you an e-mail and left you a voice mail this past week just hoping for a reply and got so much more. God bless you son!!!
You may not know it but you are talked about in the law enforcement circles as one of our own. You are a keeper of the flame. Strangely enough all cops say if you need it done, Rhubarb will help. A friend who is a deputy for Walton County Sheriff’s Office just called me and said “you got in touch with Rhubarb didn’t you”. He heard a plug for the ride this evening on the radio. This made my day. Thank you so much for your help! Matt is doing well, not as well as we had expected but we hope he will be able to make the ride, at least to say thank you/hello!
Thanks to great people like yourself we have raised almost $30,000 for Matt and his family. We still have a few raffle tickets left for the bike and trailer but I am amazed at how the public has gone out of their way to support a family they know so little about.
Surely God has smiled upon us as we have taken upon such a daunting task. But all things aside, I am most thankful that I sent you an e-mail requesting your help.
Rhubarb, you strike me as a man of God and willing to help with anything that helps man. You are, in my eyes, a saint. Take it how you will but it seems to me that you put a whole lot of time into helping others. Guess you missed your calling as a police officer/firefighter!!! LOL. One thing is for sure you are gladly welcomed on our side any time you decide to take a crazy job!!!
With all that said I would like very much to shake your hand and say thank you. If you are not able to come to Loganville on October 9 could you at least let me know so that I can make arrangements to come to the studio and shake the hand of such a great man?
Thank you so much for all you do and God bless you,

Russ Mayfield

Hey Rhubarb,
just thought I would drop you line to let you know how things are going. I have accepted a position in Norfolk Va. that will move me closer to my family. It was difficult decision, but in the end FAMILY won out. I have thoroughly enjoyed my time here, and hope one day to return. I will miss seeing you on the road and hearing you and Dallas cut up every morning. I do hope that we can keep in touch. And if you are ever up my way, look me up. You know GOD has a way of putting people in touch that sometimes always leave an impact on our lives. You my friend are one of those who have left an impact on my life that I will carry with me everywhere I go. Your sense of pride and commitment to not only GA, but others in the community set you apart. I will be here for a few more weeks and I do hope that during that time I will get to see you and shake your hand.
Take care and thanks for being a friend!

Joe Wilson
